The Story of Us
Our First Date
In August 2020, we matched on Hinge.We had our first date on August 29th at the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia. Ethan did not exactly get off to a good start— he had just moved to Philly and seriously underestimated how long it would take to finish laundry at his new apartment. So he showed up about 15 minutes late in a stretched out, see-through v-neck undershirt. He was wearing a handmade mask that also did not fit him. Despite his first impression, he charmed Hanna, and we had such a good time that we spent the rest of the day together.
The Proposal
Ethan proposed on February 3rd, 2023, about an hour after we got the keys to our new house in Connecticut. He got down on one knee in our empty living room, and presented Hanna with his grandma’s diamond ring.
The proposal was not a surprise to Hanna. It was the exact moment she would have proposed to him if things were the other way around.
